Privacy policy
What we collect
This is a static website with no accounts or comments. The only place we ask for personal information is the local-pro request form, described below. Our calculators run entirely in your browser; the numbers you enter are not sent to us. The equipment quote form shown on our equipment page is a disabled preview and sends nothing. Before it goes live, we'll update this policy to explain what it collects, who receives it and why.
Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later, we'll update this page before turning it on.
Local-pro request form
If you use the "Request a local pro" form, here's what happens to what you enter.
- What we collect: your name, email, phone number (if you give one), ZIP code, state, region, county and city, the trade, project and timeline you choose, any project details you type, whether you're selling or flipping, and a record of your consent (the consent wording, the date and time, and the page you sent it from). Our hosting provider also sees your IP address; we use a one-way hashed version of it for about two hours to limit spam, and we store only the country it came from with your request. If spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) is turned on, Cloudflare processes browser and device signals to check that a person sent the form.
- Why: to follow up with you about your request and, with your permission, to connect you with a qualified local professional for that trade and area.
- Who receives it: requests are stored by Buy Right Once with our hosting provider, Cloudflare. We only share a request with a professional to fulfill it, with your permission, and only the details that professional needs. We don't sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
- How long we keep it: up to 24 months, then we delete it, or sooner if you ask.
- Deleting a request: use "Delete a request you sent" on the request form page and enter the email you used. We delete the requests stored under that email; a professional we already shared your request with keeps their own copy under their own policy, and you can ask them directly to delete it.
- Questions or data requests: email hello@buyrightonce.com to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted.
- Texts: reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them.
Agreeing to be contacted is never a condition of buying anything.
Affiliate links and third-party cookies
When you click an affiliate link, you leave our site. The retailer, brand or affiliate network (for example Amazon, Impact, CJ, Awin or a brand's own program) may set cookies or use similar technology to record that you came from us, so a commission can be credited. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern that data. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Children
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
