Hot Tubs
Hot tub buying guides
Hot tubs range from a few hundred dollars for an inflatable to five figures for a large acrylic spa. Beyond the sticker price, you're also choosing between a plug-in and a hardwired 240V model, deciding what the tub sits on, and taking on monthly energy and chemical costs.
Guides coming soon. We haven't published any hot tubs guides yet. We'd rather show you an empty shelf than filler. When we do, they'll follow the same editorial policy as our generator guides: specs from manufacturers, sources linked, no fake testing claims.
What we plan to cover
- Inflatable vs rotomolded vs acrylic: what you get at each price tier
- Plug-and-play 120V vs hardwired 240V
- Pad, deck or patio: weight and site prep
- Running costs and covers
Safety note: A filled hot tub is very heavy. Confirm your deck or pad can carry it, and have a licensed electrician handle any hardwired installation, including the required GFCI protection.
