Mowers
Mower buying guides
Mowers run from a few hundred dollars for a battery push mower to many thousands for a zero-turn. The right machine depends mostly on your acreage, terrain and slopes, and on how much engine maintenance you're willing to do.
Guides coming soon. We haven't published any mowers guides yet. We'd rather show you an empty shelf than filler. When we do, they'll follow the same editorial policy as our generator guides: specs from manufacturers, sources linked, no fake testing claims.
What we plan to cover
- Battery vs gas: runtime, power and upkeep
- Push vs riding vs zero-turn by lot size
- Slopes and safety: what manufacturers rate their machines for
- Total cost of ownership
Safety note: Respect the manufacturer's maximum slope rating; rollovers on slopes are a known hazard with riding and zero-turn mowers.
